Terms of Use
These terms explain the ground rules for using Online EPUB Reader. By using the website, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: August 24, 2026
Using the service
Online EPUB Reader provides browser-based tools for opening and working with supported document and ebook files. You may use the service for lawful personal, educational or business purposes. You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access or use it to violate another person's rights.
Your files and local data
Supported files are processed locally by your browser rather than uploaded to us. Reader data—including saved files, progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes and preferences—may be stored in your browser on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything important. Clearing browser storage, removing a book or changing devices may permanently delete local data.
Rights and permissions
You keep any rights you hold in the files and notes you use with the service. Using the reader does not transfer ownership of that material to us. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to access, copy or process a file. Do not use the service to infringe copyright, bypass digital rights management or violate license restrictions.
DRM and file compatibility
The service is intended for compatible, DRM-free files. Password protection, retailer DRM, malformed files, uncommon publisher features and browser limitations can prevent a file from opening or displaying as intended. See supported formats for current compatibility information.
Availability and changes
We may add, remove or change features, file support or these terms over time. We may also suspend access when needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance or protection against misuse. We do not promise that every feature will always be available or that the service will work without interruption.
Third-party services and links
The website or files you open may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms.
No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, security or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Online EPUB Reader will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, files, profits or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability for a claim relating to the free service will not exceed the amount you paid us to use it during the 12 months before the claim, which is normally zero. Limits that are not lawful in your location do not apply.
Changes to these terms
When we update these terms, we will post the revised version here and change the “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
